The Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine (KSRM) is a professional academic organization established with the aim of advancing academic research and clinical practice in the field of reproductive medicine.

The society’s history dates back to 1971, when Korean scholars who attended the 7th International Congress on Fertility and Sterility in Tokyo recognized the urgent need for systematic research and academic exchange in reproductive medicine. This led to the founding meeting in Seoul on July 19, 1972, and the Korean Society for Fertility and Sterility (currently KSRM) was officially established on July 24, 1972,

Since its inception, KSRM has played a pivotal role in the development of reproductive medicine in Korea, encompassing infertility treatment, reproductive endocrinology, assisted reproductive technology, and reproductive genetics. Through its regular academic congresses and symposia, KSRM provides a robust platform for scientific exchange, professional development, and global collaboration with international societies.

Having celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, KSRM now stands as Korea’s leading academic community with over 3,500 members. Looking ahead, KSRM remains steadfast in its commitment to scientific excellence and international cooperation to improve global reproductive health and the well-being of humanity.
